Mouse Supporting Services
The Mouse Supporting Services support the mouse mutagenesis and phenotyping programs
by providing state-of-the-art housing and Phenotyping conditions.
The Department is operated by a team of 3 senior managers and 19 animal technicians devoted
to the generation, breedings, care of mouse models and archiving.
The Department also houses the Microinjection services which provides DNA and ES cell injections and mouse cryopreservation services.
The Department is housed in the ICS Animal Facility, a 2100 m2 area providing a controlled and reproducible environment for the mice.
To secure and to control the huge amount of data generated by all the operations, a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) has been developed.
