The laboratory of clinical chemistry at the ICS performs a large panel of tests in blood,
urine and tissue samples. The measurement of various blood metabolites, ions and enzymes gives a screening
of the major metabolic function such as water and sodium distribution, kidney, liver and gastrointestinal tract.
Most of the endocrine functions can be evaluated through the measurement of several circulating hormones.
Blood haematology, immunology and coagulation parameters are also performed.
