This service is in charge of the genotyping of the mice housed in the institute. The platform offer customized genotyping services for knock-out, knock-in, transgenic or any other genetically modified mouse strains. Different sample types can be processed, including tails and ear tags. All genotyping steps are covered: a complete design, optimization, verification of PCR amplification conditions for new or pre-existing strategies, genomic DNA extraction, PCR reactions, analysis and sequencing for the gene of interest. This fully automated service allows a high-throughput process using the robotic (Tecan) workstations (DNA extraction, PCR...) as well as microfluidics electrophoresis robots (Caliper) for PCR product migration and analysis. All these technologies are driven by in-house databases insuring high quality of data at a large scale level.
