Open in full size

The 14th joint Scientific meeting (LAVA, ESLAV and ECLAM)  will take place on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th September 2013, in Cambridge, UK, a city with an incredible history of world famous discoveries in bioscience.

The meeting will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of LAVA, and will provide a great opportunity to expand your professional and personal network and to exchange views in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. It will be the fourth time that ESLAV and ECLAM and LAVA have organized a joint scientific meeting, and will be open to non-members for a small additional fee. The program is varied and will be of interest, both scientifically and practically, to all veterinarians working with laboratory animals.

The themes of the meeting are:

  • the “cleanliness” of laboratory animals and the role of “germ free” animals
  • workshops on clinical cases and on the recruitment, retention and education of Designated Vets
  • systematic reviews
  • the effects of disease on phenotype Laboratory animal welfare
